INGREDIENTSEXPLAINED

Rhodiola Rosea and Ashwagandha

Rhodiola Rosea and Ashwagandha are both adaptogens that support the adrenal glands, by reducing the stress response.
Stress, anxiety, and inadequate sleep contribute to fatigue, which can lead to feelings of physical and mental tiredness.
Rhodiola Rosea alleviates stress symptoms and fatigue and can significantly improve mood, concentration and energy levels.

Ashwagandha reduces stress and anxiety, by controlling mediators of stress, including Cortisol, and by reducing the activity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, a system in your body that regulates the stress response.
Lower Cortisol levels assist in deeper, more restful sleep, mental alertness and improved memory.

Lower Cortisol levels also lead to improved Glucose, Weight and Blood Pressure regulation. Ashwagandha can augment the function of the thyroid, by increasing the conversion of the less potent thyroid hormone, T4, to the more active form of the thyroid hormone, T3. This supports a healthier thyroid function and improved metabolism.

High Cortisol levels may interfere with Sexual functioning and Sex Hormone Levels and, therefore, Ashwagandha may improve sexual functioning in men and women.
Ashwagandha can enhance physical performance, including strength and maximum oxygen consumption during exercise.

Due to its Cortisol-lowering effects, it has also been associated with reduced inflammation, improved immune function, reduced risk of cancer, and enhanced anti-ageing.

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) enables the body to use carbohydrates as energy and is necessary for the growth, development and functioning of cells. Thiamine alleviates anxiety, including stress symptoms manifesting as chronic fatigue, insomnia, nightmares and depression.

L-Tryptophan

L-Tryptophan is an essential amino acid, that is not produced by the body. The body converts L-Tryptophan to 5-HTP and then to serotonin. Changes in serotonin levels in the brain can affect mood, and therefore, supplementation with L-Tryptophan can improve mood and insomnia.

Phenylalanine

Phenylalanine is involved in the production of certain neurotransmitters, such as Acetylcholine, Serotonin and Dopamine, that the nervous system uses to send messages between nerve cells. The body is unable to produce enough L-phenylalanine on its own, and therefore it is considered an essential amino acid.
Dopamine plays a role in how we experience pleasure and find things interesting. It enables us to think and plan. Dopamine improves alertness, focus, decision-making, motivation and memory.
